Welcome to the Spanish Springs Airport located in beautiful Spanish Springs Valley, the original site of the Reno Air Races. We are about 15 miles north of Reno International (RNO) and just east of Reno Stead Airport (4SD). We are listed in navigation charts and airport directories as Reno-Spanish Springs (N86). The airport has been in existence since 1970 and is currently operated by the

Spanish Springs Pilots Association, a non profit Nevada Corporation. We have 100LL avgas on site. The runway is hard packed dirt and is 4200'long; 3515'between threshold markers. There are residential structures to the east and south of the runway and are noise sensitive. We recommend 34 for takeoff & 16 for landing. The PIC is final authority as to which runway is used. While operating in the airport vicinity please call out your position often on 122.9.
